User Documentation: AI BET Baseline Assessment Exam Procedure
1. Introduction
This document provides step-by-step instructions for students taking the AI Baseline English Test (BET). Following these guidelines will ensure you can successfully set up the secure testing environment, log in, and begin your assessment.
2. Prerequisites
Before you begin, please ensure you have the following:
A computer running a compatible version of Windows or macOS.
A stable internet connection.
Administrative rights on your computer to install software.
Your exam login credentials.
3. Step-by-Step Guide
Please follow these four steps in order.
Step 1: Install the Safe Exam Browser (SEB)
The exam must be taken using the Safe Exam Browser (SEB), a secure lockdown browser.
Download the correct installer for your operating system:
For Windows users: Download Link for Windows
For macOS users: Download Link for macOS
Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Step 2: Launch the Secure Exam Environment
This step initiates the secure exam session from the main portal.
Log in to the main exam portal using your standard user credentials.
From the side menu, navigate to the AI BET section.
Click the Secured Start button.
An exam configuration file will automatically download to your computer. Locate and open this file.
Opening the file will close all other applications and launch the Safe Exam Browser.
Click on Safe Start button for Baseline Assessment

Step 3: Log In to the Secure Exam
Once inside the Safe Exam Browser, you must log in again to access the test.
When prompted by the secure browser's login screen, enter the following credentials:
Username: [email protected]
Password: XXXXXXXX
Click the login button to proceed.
Step 4: Access and Start Your Test
Follow this final sequence to begin your assessment.
After a successful login, navigate to the AI BET section from the side menu.
Select Baseline Test from the available options.
Click the Start button to begin your exam.
4. Important Notes
Please close all other applications before beginning.
Ensure your camera and microphone are enabled.
Read all on-screen instructions carefully before the exam starts.
A passcode is required to begin the assessment.
You cannot exit the Safe Exam Browser after starting the exam until it is submitted.
