Smart Board

Welcome to the Smart Board walkthrough guide. This document is designed to help you navigate and utilize the Communication Gym feature to engage students and assess their communication skills effectively.

Step 1: Accessing the Communication Gym

  1. Log in to the Admin panel.

  2. From the left-side menu, click on Communication Gym.

  3. Select the desired Board and Grade from the dropdown.

  4. Once selected, you will see a list of Chapters for that grade.

  5. Each chapter displays the following five skill areas: Listening Speaking Reading Vocabulary Grammar

Step 2: Conducting the Listening Activity

  1. Click on the Listening Trigger icon for the selected chapter.

  2. Choose the Relevant Section from the dropdown to load the student names.

  3. Click the Play button to play the audio.

  4. Ask the students to listen attentively.

  5. Invite a student to the smart board.

  6. Select the student’s name from the list.

  7. Ask the student to choose the correct answer based on the audio.

  8. Repeat the process for each student and question.

  9. After completing all questions, click Submit.

  10. You will be redirected back to the Topic Listing page.

To view results: Click on the Results icon to see:

  • Student names

  • Section names

  • Listening scores

  • Total marks

  • Number of questions attempted

Step 3: Conducting the Speaking Activity

  1. Click on the Speaking Trigger icon.

  2. Select the Relevant Section to load student names.

  3. Ask a student to come to the board and record their voice while reading the sentence shown on screen.

  4. Click Check to receive real-time speech analysis, which includes:

  5. Pronunciation scores

  6. Word-by-word feedback

  7. Repeat this process for all students.

  8. Once done, click Submit to return to the Topic Listing page.

To view results: Click the Results icon to see:

  • Student names

  • Section names

  • Speaking scores

  • Total marks

  • Number of questions attempted

Step 4: Conducting the Reading Activity

  1. Click on the Reading Trigger icon.

  2. A comprehension passage will appear on screen.

  3. Allow the student time to read and understand the passage.

  4. Select the Section to display student names.

  5. Let the student answer the questions based on the passage.

  6. Click Check to view instant feedback.

  7. Click Continue to move to the next student.

  8. After all students have participated, click Submit.

To view results: Click the Results icon to see:

  • Student names

  • Section names

  • Reading percentages

  • Total marks

  • Number of questions attempted

Step 5: Conducting the Vocabulary Activity

  1. Click on the Vocabulary Trigger icon.

  2. Select the relevant Section to display student names.

  3. A vocabulary question with multiple options will be shown.

  4. Ask the student to drag and drop the correct answer.

  5. Click Check to provide instant feedback on their answer.

  6. Click Continue to proceed to the next student.

  7. After completing the activity for all students, click Submit.

To view results: Click the Results icon to see:

  • Student names

  • Section names

  • Vocabulary scores

  • Total marks

  • Number of questions attempted

Step 6: Conducting the Grammar Activity

  1. Click on the Grammar Trigger icon.

  2. Select the relevant Section to display student names.

  3. A grammar-based question with multiple options will be shown.

  4. Ask the student to drag and drop the correct answer.

  5. Click Check to view immediate feedback.

  6. Repeat the activity for each student.

  7. Once completed, click Submit.

To view results: Click the Results icon to see:

  • Student names

  • Section names

  • Grammar scores

  • Total marks

  • Number of questions attempted

Conclusion

The Communication Gym feature provides a dynamic and interactive platform to strengthen students’ communication skills in Listening, Speaking, Reading, Vocabulary, and Grammar. By using this feature regularly, educators can enhance classroom engagement and make data-driven instructional decisions.
